Well, I kind of regret not including pictures of the actual House Of Harlow "Dupe" Necklace from GoFavor in my last post, so I decided to make a new post showing you more, up close, pictures of the necklace. As you can see, it has it flaws but, like I said, it does give you the overall look for a way cheaper price.

About the Giveaway

When I purchased mine, I bought two necklaces, one for me and one for one of you. En el ultimo post donde hablo del collar de GoFavor parecido al de House of Harlow no agregue mis propias fotos del collar. Por eso mismo, aqui les traigo este post con fotos mas detalladas. Aquí pueden ver mas a detalle la calidad y los "defectos" de el collar. El mio, por ejemplo, llego con un pedacito de "mas" (como puedes ver en la primera foto de abajo). No es muy notorio pero si es un defecto. En si, como les mencione, me gusto el collar ya que te da el look por una cantidad muy por debajo del precio normal.

So, who said that you need to spend tons of money to get a celebrity look? 

I had been coveting the House of Harlow Five Station Necklace for ever. This necklace is made in leather and is also made of black resin. The leather necklace retails for approximately $75 USD and the black resin one retails for $145 USD. 

I'm not one to wear statement necklaces; however, this particular design called my attention. Upon much research, I found a great alternative for a much cheaper price. Go Favor, is a retailer form China that sells fashion jewelry at a very low price. The quality is almost similar to that of Forever21. 

I had seen a lot of video reviews of people who had ordered from them and most of them were positive; therefore, I decided to give it a go. The item arrived within a couple of weeks (since it is shipped from China) and it was in good condition. It looks very similar to that of the House of Harlow, but of course the quality is not the same. 

From far away, there are very little differences; however, one of the stations turns to the other side often and I have to keep putting it in place. The stations are kept in place with, what seems to be, a very thin elastic. So far, after four uses, I haven't had any problems. The price of this necklace is $7.99. 

In conclusion, if you want this necklace but you do not want to spend so much for it, this is a great option. Also, if you are like me and end up buying jewelry that you hardly use, this is a good way to find out if this piece is worth the money. I found out that I really love the look of this necklace and I plan on purchasing the "Real deal" once this one "gives up." I feel like it would be a good investment.

Quien dijo que tenemos que gastar mucho dinero para tener el mismo look que nuestros artistas favoritos?

Por mucho tiempo he estado interesada en el collar de cinco estaciones de House of Harlow. House of Harlow 1960 es una linea de joyas creada por Nicole Richie (si, la antigua mejor amiga de Paris Hilton). El collar de las cinco estaciones es uno de los mas populares. Viene en piel y en un acabado brilloso negro. El de piel tiene un costo de $75 dolares, y el brilloso tiene un costo de $145.  

La verdad no acostumbro usar collares muy llamativos, así que decidí comprar una versión mas económica de este collar, ya que no sabia si valdría la pena gastar tanto. Buscando en internet encontre que la pagina GoFavor tenia un collar similar a solo $7.99. GoFavor es un vendedor de China que vende accesorios a un precio muy economico y de la calidad de Forever21. 

El envio fue rápido (considerando que viene desde China) y el collar me encanto. Como pueden ver en la foto de abajo, es muy parecido a el original aunque, como todo, tiene sus defectos. Obvio, no se siente de la misma calidad que el original y este esta sujeto por un cordón elástico que se ve que es frágil. Lo he usado cuatro veces y aun no veo ningún problema; sin embargo, una cosa que si me molesta es que una de las "estaciones" (o picos) se mueve mucho para adentro y lo tengo que estar acomodando. 

En conclusion, si quieres el look pero no quieres gastar lo mismo que las celebridades, pues esta es una buena opción. O, si eres como y quieres ver como se ve y si vale la pena comprar el original,  pues también lo recomiendo. Yo creo que cuando este ya no de mas, si voy a comprar la versión original ya que me gusta como se ve tanto para fiestas, como para el trabajo.

The other day, while navigating Instagram, a friend of mine posted a picture of her new shoes (The  Sam Edelman Beatrix) and I fell in love instantly. I had been on the hunt for a new pair of flats; therefore, I decided to go ahead and order them. I placed my order from shoes.com (which I recommend, especially if you order using e-bates because you get a percentage back). The shoes arrived promptly and I loved the look; although, the spikes look more like glitter (or small studs) for far away.

The following week, while navigating the shoe department at my local Kohl's, I saw the Simply Vera Wang Ballet Flats, which look identical to the Sam Edelman Beatrix shoes that cost three times more (who doesn't hate when that happens?). I looked for my size, but they did not have it. However, one thing that I noticed is that the Vera Wang shoe has very little inside padding; whereas, the Sam Edelman has a weird pattern on the inside sole, which gives a kind of relaxing feeling to my feet.

Overall, the Sam Edelman Beatrix are very comfortable for normal use; however, don't plan on wearing them for concerts or long walks, because they do make my feet hurt. Of course, that is only my experience. Sam Edelman's shoes, contrary to the Vera Wang flats, has a large selection of colors in the Beatrix style; however, the cream and black remains a classic.

Ultimately, the point of this post is to inform you that you do not have to spend a lot of money to get the Sam Edelman look. The Simply Vera Wang Flats have that rocker chic look at a more affordable price. So, you tell me, which ones do you prefer?

El otro día mientras navegaba la aplicación de Instagram, una amiga puso una foto de sus nuevos zapatos, los Beatrix de Sam Edelman, y me enamore totalmente. Casualmente esa semana estaba en búsqueda de unos nuevos flats (o balerinas, como algunos de ustedes las conocen). Por esa razón decidí ordenar esos zapatos de los que me había enamorado. Los compre en shoes.com utilizando e-bates, una pagina donde puedes recibir un porcentaje de regreso cuando ordenas de ciertas paginas afiliadas al programa. Los zapatos me llegaron súper rápido y la verdad me gustaron mucho, aunque los picos se ven mas como pequeños brillantitos de lejos, pero sirven mucho para defenderse de algún asalto o algo jeje :P (No es cierto!).

A la siguiente semana, mientras navegaba los pasillos del departamento de zapatería en la tienda Kohl's, me tope con unos flats de la marca Simply Vera Wang y se parecían mucho a mis zapatos de Sam Edelman que cuestan tres veces mas caros (quien no odia cuando eso pasa?). No me los pude probar ya que no tenían mi numero, pero si me pude percatar que los flats de Vera Wang no tenían mucha plantilla (o relleno, lo cual puedo pensar que los harían mas incomodos). Los de Sam Edelman tienen un diseño "raro" en la parte de adentro de la plantilla y se sienten muy suaves de adentro. 

Los zapatos de Sam Edelman Beatrix son muy comodos para uso normal; sin embargo, no planees usarlos para conciertos o dias de mucho caminar, ya que si cansan un poco (bueno, a menos esa a sido mi experiencia). Fuera de eso, yo si recomiendo los zapatos de Sam Edelman Beatrix. Son muy comodos y aparte Sam Edelman tiene una gran variedad de colores. Vera Wang solo tiene el clásico  blanco/crema y negro, aunque no deja de ser un "clásico."

En conclusion, el objetivo de este post es solo mostrarles que no tenemos que gastar mucho dinero para tener el look de los zaptos de Sam Edelman. Los Zapatos Simply Vera Wang de Kohl's tienen el look rocker-chic a un precio mas accesible. Asi es que ustedes me dirán; cual de los dos pares prefieren?
