Como muchas de ustedes saben, tengo dos blogs, uno de belleza y uno de moda. Algun tiempo atras pense que era bueno tenerlos separados; sin embargo el tener dos blogs ha sido verdaderamente estresante. Siento que no les doy la calidad necesaria. Polkadots and Lace (Moda para Gorditas: Encaje y Lunares)

This polkadots and lace outfit has been one of my go-to outfits for casual days. I think it is simple, cute, and comfortable. If I know I will be walking a lot, I just add a pair of flats and voila! I'm ready to head out. By the way, I'm aware that I have worn the same heels in the last outfits, but they are truly amazing. They are comfortable and the right heigh for me. If I love something, I wear it as often as I can.

Este atuendo de lunares con encaje ha sido uno de mis mas usados para los dias casuales. Pienso que es simple, bonito, y comodo. Si se que voy a caminar mucho, solo agrego unas ballerinas (flats) y Voila! ya estoy lista pasa salir. Por cierto, estoy consiente que he utilizado las mismas zapatillas en los últimos dos atuendos, pero cuando algo me gusta lo utilizo hasta mas no poder.

A Fun Blazer for a Casual Outfit (Un Saco Divertido Para un Atuendo Sencillo)

A fun print on a blazer, like the floral one I'm wearing here, can transform any boring outfit into an interesting one. Here, I'm wearing a simple black t-shirt with basic jeans. By adding this blazer and using a pair of nice and low heels, I transformed it into a fun outfit, perfect to go out with your girl friends or boyfriend.

Un saco con imprenta divertida, como el saco floral que tengo aqui, puede transformar cualquier atuendo aburrido en uno divertido. Aquí estoy usando una playera negra básica con jeans. Al agregar el saco, y al ponerme unas zapatillas en vez de flats o tenis, el atuendo se combierte en algo divertido que se puede usar para salir con tus amigos o tu novio.

How to Wear Stripes (Como Vestir Con Rayas Si Eres Gordita)

Stripes can be a little intimidating for some of us, especially if you are plus-size. For centuries, people have said that stripes make you look bigger. The truth is that stripes can be worn by anyone. You just need to make it work for you! 

In this outfit, I wore one of my favorite blazers from... I'll let you guess...  Yes, from Torrid. In order to break the stripes a little, I decided to wear it open. I can wear it closed too; however, some pieces can indeed make you look bigger. It all depends on the cut, style, and fabric. So, beware of that. 

The peplum top is one of my favorite pieces, mainly because it is lace. I added red bottoms to make the outfit pop. For accessories, I decided to go with gold since the hardware of the Just Fab purse is also gold. By the way, that purse is my favorite bags of the moment. Isn't it cute? The shoes and the necklace are also my favorite items of the month. I have been wearing them quite often!

Vestir con rayas puede ser un poco intimidante, especialmente si eres gordita, ya que por muchos años se ha dicho que las rayas te hacen ver mas grande. La verdad es que pueden ser usadas por todos. Solo

tienes que hacer que las prendas con rayas trabajen a tu favor! 

En este atuendo utilize uno de mis sacos favorites de.... adivinen... Si, de Torrid. Para "romper" un

poco la fluidez de las rayas, decidi utilizarla abierta. Tambien la puedo usar cerrada; sin embargo, en algunas piezas eso puede hacer que si te veas mas grande/gordita. Mucho tiene que ver el corte y tipo de tela de la prenda, a si que esten concientes de eso cuando escojan prendas con rayas. 

La blusa peplum es una de mis piezas favoritas, mas que nada por que es de encaje. Le agregue unos pantalones color rojo para hacer que el atuendo tuviera un "pop" de color. De accesorios decidi agregarlos en tonos oro ya que la bolsa de Just Fab tiene toques dorados tambien. Por cierto, esa bolsa es una de mis favoritas del momento. Apoco no esta super linda? Los zapatos y el collar tambien son uno de mis favoritos del mes. Los he estado usando bastante.

Downy Presents #LatinosImparables with Jesse y Joy at the House of Blues in San Diego

When Downy invited me to attend the #latinosimparables concert with Jesse & Joy in my city, San Diego California, I was beyond excited as I love their music, and I had been planning to attend that same concert. What I did not know was that those passes also included a meet and greet. Had I known in advance, I would have dressed up a bit more hehe. 

The concert took place at the House of Blues, and it began with a talented new female singer named Lilo. While she was singing, I was waiting by the backstage door for a chance to meet Jesse & Joy; however, Lilo's song "Estupida No Soy" (I'm not Stupid) caught my attention. The song narrates the experience of a woman who decides to finally leave her "boyfriend" after she realizes that he was just using her. Before the concert, I had not heard about Lilo, but I liked her music style.

After Lilo sung that song, the other people who had backstage passes and I were let in to meet Jesse & Joy. For those of you who do not know them, they are a Mexican pop duo conformed by bother and sister. By the way, I attended the show with my awesome brother who, like Jesse & Joy plays the guitar. I, on the other hand, only sing in the shower, lol!

I had a lot of fun that night. I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted, but I enjoyed every minute of it! I even reconnected with an old professor of mine. While my brother and I waited to enter the concert, in front of us was a math professor I had when I attended Community College. I got to meet some of his family there. His sister-in-law, Eva, is a blogger as well, so we immediately clicked. It was certainly and amazing day.

Cuando Downy me invito al concierto de la serie #Latinosimparables con Jesse y Joy aquí en San Diego California, me emocione muchisimo ya que amo la música de Jesse y Joy y tenia ganas de asistir a ese mismo concierto. Lo que no sabia es que esos pases tambien incluían poder participar en el "meet and greet" para conocerlos. De haber sabido antes, me hubiera arreglado un poco mas jeje.

El concierto se llevo acabo en el House of Blues. La talentosa Lilo abrió el concierto. Mientras ella cantaba, yo esperaba a entrar al "meet and greet" a un costado del escenario, pero su canción "Estupida No Soy" me gusto mucho. La canción narra la experiencia de una chica que decide por fin dejar a su novio al darse cuenta de que el solo la usaba y no la amaba. Antes del concierto, no había escuchado de Lilo, pero me gusto mucho su música y su esitlo. 

Después de que Lilo cantara "Estupida No Soy," yo y las otras personas que también tenían pases para conocerlos pudimos entrar a tomarnos una foto con Jesse y Joy, y recibimos una camiseta autografiada. Jesse y Joy, por si no los conocen, es un duo de música pop mexicana conformado por dos hermanos. Por cierto, asistí a este concierto con my hermanazo quien, como Jesse y Joy, también toca la guitarra. Yo? Yo solo canto en la regadera, lol!

La verdad me divertí mucho! No tome tantas fotos como hubiera querido pero disfrute cada momento. De hecho, mientras esperábamos afuera para entrar al concierto, me encontré con un profesor de mate que tube hace mil años. Jamas pensé volver a encontrármelo y menos en un concierto de Jesse y Joy. También conocí a su familia. Su cuñada, Eva, también tiene un blog, así que hicimos "click" de inmediato.

Poshmark Party in San Diego: Sell, Buy, and Have Fun!

Do you have pieces in your closet that you no longer wear? Well, there is no need to leave them in your closet any longer. Now, you can sell the items you no longer use and get cash to welcome new pieces (or... save). Last Wednesday I attended a Poshmark party hosted by San Diego bloggers, Paulina, Vanessa, Jocelyn, and Kelly. There, I learned a little bit more about how Poshmark works. Technically, you take a picture of the item you want to sell and post it on your Poshmark account. There are thousands of users who will view the item and are going to be able to purchase it. Poshmark receives 20% from the sale; however, they give you a pre-paid postage so that you do no have to pay for shipping. Poshmark also takes care of the credit transactions/payments. Isn't that awesome? I'm so looking forward to adding some pieces that I'm sure someone else can give more use to.

Tienes piezas en tu closet (ropero) que ya no utilizas? Bueno, ya no hay por que dejarlas en el closet para que nos quiten espacio. Ahora, puedes vender estas cosas que ya no usas y recibir dinero para comprar cosas nuevas o para ahorrar. El miércoles pasado fui a una fiesta de la tienda virtual Poshmark. Ahí otras chicas de San Diego,  Paulina, Vanessa, Jocelyn, y Kelly, compartieron virtualmente las piezas que ellas tenían en venta y aprendí mas sobre como funciona esta pagina. Técnicamente le tomas una foto al articulo que quieres vender, lo pones en linea, y allí miles de personas tendrán acceso a verlo. Lo que me gusta es que puedes buscar por talla, numero de zapato, y tipo de pieza para facilitar que encuentres lo que buscas. Poshmark recibe un 20% de tu venta, pero ellos pagan el envío, te mandan una estampilla electrónica para que solo la imprimas y la pongas en la caja. También se encargan de las cuestión monetaria y ellos te pagan ati el 80% directamente depositandolo en tu banco o mandándote un cheque. Tu no tienes que preocuparte de nada. No es genial? Yo voy a poner unas cosas que ya no uso y que creo que alguien mas les puede sacar provecho. Por ahora no es internacional pero están pensando en abrirlo a mercados internacionales pronto! Crucemos los dedos!

El evento estuvo genial. Me encanto volver a ver a varias de mis compañeras bloggers y sobre todo conocer a nuevas! Chequen las fotos abajo y no olviden pulsar en sus nombres para visitar sus blogs! a mi se me olvido la memoria de la cámara así que no tome casi fotos :(

How pretty is this mint peplum top with lace? When I tried it on at the Shimmer fitting room it was instant love. And what about the liquid leggings? I WAS not a fan of leggings at all. I have a pair that I've never worn, but I've always wanted a pair of liquid or "leather" type leggings; however, I've never found an affordable pair. I have to thank Shimmer for providing these leggings for review, they made my day! The top is available in three colors (mint, coral, and tan) and of course, I needed the mint one. 

So, are you a fan of leggings? Have you tried liquid leggings?

Apoco no esta padrisima esta blusa con encaje color menta en peplum. Cuando me la prove en la tienda de Shimmer me enamore! Y que opinan de los leggings líquidos? Yo no ERA fan de leggings para nada. Tengo un par que aun no uso; sin embargo, siempre había querido unos de tipo piel o de estos "líquidos" pero no había encontrado unos que fueran económicos.
